Privacy Policy
Last updated: [DATE] · Placeholder text — to be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide — such as your name, phone number, email, society, flat number, and (for caregivers) verification documents — as well as ratings and content you post.
2. Location data
If you choose to use the “use my location” or location search features, we access your device location once to help you find nearby societies. We use a third-party geocoding service to convert location into an area/pincode. We do not continuously track you, and we do not store your precise coordinates.
3. How we use your information
To connect you with caregivers or families in your society, to show neighbour ratings, to verify caregivers, and to improve the Platform.
4. Caregiver verification data
For caregivers, we store only the last 4 digits of any government ID (e.g. Aadhaar) plus a verification document image and selfie. These are held in private storage accessible only to the caregiver and authorised YoloKlub administrators, and are used solely to verify identity. [Confirm retention period after legal review — e.g. retained while the caregiver is active, deleted within [N] days of account closure.]
4a. Worker consent (where an agent registers a caregiver)
Where a YoloKlub agent helps register a caregiver, the caregiver (the data principal) actively provides consent on the agent’s device before any details or documents are submitted. We record that the consent was given, when, and by what method. A caregiver may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, after which we stop processing and delete their verification data subject to any legal retention requirement.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Limited profile information (e.g. a caregiver’s name, skills and rating) is visible to residents of the relevant society to enable the service. Identity documents are never shared with other users.
6. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity. Contact us to exercise these rights; we will respond within the timelines required by law.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law. [Specify concrete retention periods per data type after legal review.]
8. Data security
We apply access controls (row-level security), private storage for identity documents, encrypted transport, and other reasonable measures. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Grievance / Data Protection contact
For privacy questions, data requests, or complaints, contact our grievance officer at goyolocare@gmail.com. [Add the named officer and a postal address before launch, as the DPDP Act requires a reachable grievance redressal contact.]
